Our needs |
Think you don't have a skill we
need? Think again! Because Lighthouse Boxer Rescue is run
entirely by volunteers, there is always a need for extra help. Among
other things, our volunteers process applications, talk to the public at
Meet & Greets, and foster the dogs. We also have volunteers who
help with fundraising by sewing crate mats or baking dog cookies to sell
at our public events. We also need people to help with
transportation and making phone calls. No matter what your talents,
we can probably find a place for you in our organization! |

Our volunteer program |
All volunteers with Lighthouse Boxer
Rescue are required to attend a training session. The location of
the training session will depend on the location of volunteers needing
trained, but will be held at a location as close as possible to your
home. Each volunteer will receive a handbook. This can either
be downloaded from our members' website or purchased from the regional
coordinator. Volunteers are expected to read the handbook and use it
as a reference. All volunteers will also be assigned a mentor.
This allows the volunteer to have one point of contact for all questions
and/or problems they may encounter. |
