About Lucy: Hello, my name is Lucy, let me tell you a little about myself. You see I spent 8 years of my life living in a crazy house, people coming and going all the time, it was madness. One day last fall me and my brothers and sister were playing in our backyard, when two men in uniforms came up to us. They said my mom had done something really bad and they had to take us to the kennel for awhile. I didn't know what a kennel was back then, but I certainly do now. You see that was seven months ago, up until today I've been living there with my brothers and sister. The first three months were the scariest. We were living in small cement cages and rarely got to go outside. We didn't see many people, I guess people find it as scary as we did! Then one day two of the nice girls that worked there, took us in the back of the kennel and let us stay in big runs. They said they would take care of us, and boy did they! We got to go outside and play all together almost every day. We got to eat twice a day and they played with us. But still our mom never came back for us. I don't know why she didn't want us any more, I don't know what I did to make her not love me anymore. I tried not to let my younger siblings see how scared I was. But then one day my sister left, she went to a nice new home. Then the next day I was saved! My foster mom came to get me out of jail! She took me to her home, it's very nice here and I don't have to stay in a cage all day. She told me she was going to find me a new 'Forever Home', where I can live out the rest of my years with no fear of being taken away again! She said the best way to do that is to tell you a little about myself. First off, don't let my age scare you, I have a lot of great years left, I love to run and play, and I especially like walks, ok I love to go for walks. I don't mind other dogs too much, as long as they know I'm the boss. I like cats too! Oops, my foster mom saw that, she says no cats, I like to chase them and torture them, and I think they taste good too! Although I want you to know, since we can't have cats in our new home I am an excellent mouse catcher! They had a ton of them at the kennel, but I took care of most of them! My foster mom says she'll find me a home that will treat me like a princess, I don't know what that means because I've never been treated like that before, but she says I'll love it. Sorry to ramble on so, as you can tell I've been couped up for a long time. If you'd like me to come and live with you fill out an adoption application, my foster mom says once it's approved we can meet! Love Lucy! Passed away 9-26-06
