About Elwood: Elwood is a very special boy, he was hit by a car on 9-14-05. He comes to Lighthouse after a week stent at a local shelter. He was obviously allowed to run loose and managed to lose a fight with a car! He is currently recovering from his injuries. He has a broken pelvis, and a few contusions on his body. He is also suffering from kennel cough, which is not helping his situation any.
Even will all his injuries and illness, Elwood is still a quite happy and loving boy. He enjoys spending time with his foster family, including his two new foster sisters. He is also interested in playing with toys. Mostly right now he likes to cuddle and snuggle and get all the love he can. He seems to crave love!
Elwood will be available for adoption after his injuries heal and he can be neutered. He is approximately 2-3 years old. He will probably have arthritis developing from his injuries and will need to find a family that will be able to love him and pay attention to his needs!

10-4-05: Elwood is recovering wonderfully! He is able to move around and even play. He is just about over his kennel cough and is starting to put on a little weight. He is quite a loving boy, and gives great kisses! |
